What cookies are and how to manage them

A cookie is a small piece of data (text file) that a website – when visited by a user – asks your browser to store on your device in order to remember information about you, such as your language preference or login details. We also use third-party cookies – which are cookies from a domain other than the domain of the website you are visiting – to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and marketing.

How do the site and services use cookies?

Our customer support portals use session cookies containing encrypted information to enable the system to uniquely identify you when you are logged in. This information enables us to process your data and requests online. Session cookies help us to ensure that the information transmitted is accurate. We use persistent cookies, which only we can read and use, to identify you as a customer or former visitor to the site.
We may also from time to time engage third parties to track and analyze site usage. We only collect non-personal data (statistical information about the volume of visitors to our websites). The purpose is to help us administer our websites and improve their quality. These third parties may use cookies to track visitor behavior. These cookies will not be used to associate individual website visitors with personal data. Any data collected by these third parties on our behalf is used solely to provide us with information about site usage and is not shared with any other third party.

Security

All external computer access to MTarget infrastructures passes through front-end firewalls, which not only filter but also archive connection logs on dedicated servers. The firewalls set up at this level also offer protection mechanisms to counter classic attacks on IP and associated protocols: TCP SYN Flood, Ping Flooding, Teardrop, DNS amplification attacks, SMURF, Ping of Death, Force SYN Packet Check, DROP policy on ICMP, etc. In addition, internal network traffic monitoring probes (NIDS) constantly analyze frames for non-compliant traffic.
MTarget also applies a rigorous policy of updating the security patches of its various hardware devices, as well as the software bricks of each physical server and VM. These updates are the result of continuous monitoring by our teams of the state of the application park, as well as recurring processes to homogenize the hosted park with a view to minimizing security breaches. Dedicated teams supervise all servers using 24/7 system supervision tools, with automatic notification via various media (e-mail, sms) of software or hardware failures, or slow response times. This covers security, application resource utilization, server capacities (cpu, disks, etc.) and backups. In order to maintain business activity, risk analysis is carried out regularly, with new rules constantly being added as the scope of activity evolves. In addition, our teams systematically carry out real-life failure scenarios to improve our ability to detect breakdowns, while validating our ability to offer continuity of service via the application redundancies we have implemented.
